Warranty Options

Overview of Warranties
At Schram Auto Parts, we offer a range of warranty options to meet your needs:

• Standard 90-Day Part Warranty
• Extended Labor Coverage
• Small Parts Lifetime Warranty

Standard 90-Day Part Warranty

• Coverage: All parts come with a 90-day warranty. If a part fails within this period, we will replace, repair, or refund it.
• Exclusions: Does not cover labor costs for changing the part.
• Cost: Free unless otherwise noted.

Extended Labor Coverage
Available for mechanical parts with high removal and replacement times (R&R). This coverage provides additional labor support beyond the standard 90-day warranty. These warranties are available in 1-year, unlimited mileage or 3-year, 75,000 mile versions.

• Transmission Coverage
  • Coverage: Includes all internally lubricated parts within the transmission case.
  • Requirements: The complete hydraulic system must be flushed, including the case, oil cooler, and lines. New filter(s) must be installed.
  • Exclusions: Does not cover accessories such as modules, governors, electrical controls, linkage, mounts, seals, gaskets, and fluids.
• Engine Coverage
  • Coverage: Covers the engine long block assembly and all internally lubricated parts.
  • Requirements: The cooling system must be flushed and in good working order.
  • Exclusions: Does not cover additional parts/components provided 'as-is' or various accessories, including electrical components, fuel systems, water pumps, spark plugs, thermostats, manifolds, valve covers, pollution controls, gaskets, seals, filters, mounts, linkages, and fluids.
• Cost:
  • Standard Blocks:
    • 1 Year: $150 for the first block and $100 per block thereafter, covering $500 in labor costs per.
      • Example: 2 blocks = $250 for $1,000 labor coverage.
      • Example 3 blocks = $350 for $1,500 labor coverage.
    • 3 Year: $300 for the first block and $150 per block thereafter, covering $500 in labor costs per.
      • Example: 2 blocks =  $400 for $1,000 labor coverage.
      • Example 3 blocks = $500 for $1,500 in labor coverage.
  • Small Blocks: $30 per block, covering $100 in labor costs.
    • Example: 2 small blocks = $60 for $200 labor coverage.

Small Parts Lifetime Warranty

• Coverage: For small mechanical parts (e.g., alternators, starters), covering the lifetime of the vehicle or part.
• Exclusions: Does not cover labor costs for changing the part.

Cost: 10% of the pre-tax purchase price of the part.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Owner's Responsibility

• Maintenance: Adhere to manufacturer-recommended maintenance intervals and keep detailed records.
• Documentation: Records must be submitted at time of install and include: shop name, mileage, date, vehicle identification number, and service received as well as a picture of the VIN and Odometer. This can be submitted to Schram Auto Parts, or sent via text/email to your salesperson (contact information can be found on your invoice).

Installer's Responsibility

• Installation: Follow manufacturer guidelines for removal and installation. Incorrect installation or failure to follow procedures is not covered.
• Inspection: Initial cause of failure must be repaired before warranty claims are processed.

Warranty Claims

• Inspection: Schram Auto Parts reserves the right to inspect and verify defects before processing claims.
• Access: Must provide access to the vehicle, maintenance records, and other requested documentation.
